The Bullard Primary School had a welcome warming.
“I have one that’s been through primary, been through elementary, and one going into high school. So we’re excited and glad the new school is here.”
“It was a great day to celebrate the school’s facilities and all the work everyone’s put in.”
“My daughter goes to school next door and we’ve just been watching the progress and we’re very excited for the staff and the kids of Bullard.”
The superintendent is proud of how far the district and community have come with the help of their 40 million dollar bond.
“When your community approves a big bond project, you’ve got to do something to make sure their aware of how important it is, Superintendent Todd Schneider said. “It’s been an awesome day, it’s going to continue to be an awesome year because of what they stepped up to the plate and did for the kids.”
Texas State Representative Matt Schaefer spoke to the community about the importance of Bullard and its schools.
“Boys and girls, this is for you, this is for your future. Bullard Independent School District is the worst kept secret in the state of Texas right now. There’s a lot of excitement in this community.”
Parents who walked the halls say they think their children will be happy starting school this year.
“I’m ready for school, I’m so excited!”
