The Longview Police Department arrested two people Tuesday in a drug raid on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police said they executed a narcotics search warrant in the 600 block of MLK Boulevard and located a large amount of crack cocaine at the home, including individually packaged bags in a toilet. Authorities stated it appeared a woman identified as Teresa Ann-Margaret Bean, 43, of Longview, appeared to try and flush the drugs.

Cash and a gun were also found inside the house.

Bean was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair, prohibited weapon, and two outstanding Class C misdemeanor warrants.

Gerald Dwayne Templeton, 55, of Longview, was also arrested and charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, prohibited weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Both suspects were taken to the Gregg County Jail without incident.

Templeton’s case will be forwarded to the U.S.Attorney’s Office for prosecution due to the fact he is currently on parole for a similar drug case he was arrested for in 2010.
