The Lufkin Police Department is searching for two thieves who robbed a Family Dollar store of hundreds of dollars worth of cigarettes earlier this month.

The robbery was at the store on the 2500 block of E Denman Ave. back on May 5. The video shows a pair of black males who worked to distract the employee.

The first male was described as having shoulder-length hair and moved the employee away from the counter by asking questions about dog food.

The second male, wearing a cammo Texas Longhorns hat and a yellow safety vest, took a plastic bin behind the counter and filled it with cartons of cigarettes.

He then loaded the bin into a blue, four-door car—possibly a Chevrolet Malibu—and waited for his partner.

The first male then finished his conversation with the employee and walked out of the store and into the passenger seat of the car.

Watch the video and, if you can solve the case, click the “Solve This” button below, use our app, or call (936) 639-TIPS.

Tips and calls directly to Crime Stoppers are anonymous, and an anonymous, crime-solving tip might be eligible for a reward.

The entire process, from tip to reward, is handled without identifying the tipster.
