***A Severe Thunderstorm Watch will likely be issued for parts of East Texas within the next hour or 2....That watch would like include the northern half of East Texas, including Tyler and Longview....Right now it looks like the best chance for severe storms across the East Texas area would be between 9 PM and 2 AM.**** Stay tuned
THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly to partly cloudy skies this afternoon. One more very warm and humid day. Windy too. Highs: 84-87. Winds: S 15-20 mph.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a decent chance of a brief period of heavy thunderstorms, mainly between 8 PM and 2 AM from NW to SE. A few storms could be briefly severe with strong, damaging winds, frequent lightning and heavy rain. Tonight is a #KETKaware weather night. Low temperatures by morning: 57-63....Wind SSW 20 mph, becoming NNW before daybreak.
SATURDAY: A few t-storms in parts of Deep East Texas ending before daybreak. Then, clouds will slowly decrease. Windy and much cooler...High temperatures only 65-71...Winds NNW 15-25 mph with higher gusts.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, windy and chilly....Lows early Sunday AM 44-48...Winds NW 10-20 mph.
SUNDAY: Sunny skies. Continued windy and cool.... Afternoon high temperatures: 69-74...Winds N 10-20 mph.
MONDAY: Cold again early in the morning, Lows 38-45. Sunny and much warmer by afternoon...Highs near 80...Winds South 5-10 mph.
