FFF Game of the Week: White Oak upsets Jefferson, claims district crown

WHITE OAK, Texas (KETK) - White Oak flipped the script.

A year ago, the Roughnecks went into Jefferson and the Bulldogs derailed their undefeated season to win the district 8-3A division one title.

This time, White Oak returned the favor.

Jefferson went into Roughneck Stadium Friday unblemished, but coach Kris Iske's team put on a show on both sides of the ball and knocked off the Bulldogs 35-21.

The win gave White Oak at least a share of the league crown and guaranteed them the top seed out of their district for the the playoffs.

The Roughnecks improved to 5-3 overall, and 4-0 in district play.  Jefferson fell to 8-1, and 3-1 respectively.

Bo Reddic led the way on the ground for White Oak with 144 yards on 32 carries, and three touchdowns.

If the Roughnecks win at New Boston next Friday to wrap up the regular season, they will claim their first outright district title since 1971.
