FFF: Private School Roundup, September 8

TYLER,Texas (KETK) - It was the makings of a shoot-out with two very high octane offenses as the White Oak Roughnecks took on T.K. Gorman Friday night. The Crusaders' defense showed out and held White Oak to the very end, winning 39 to 29.

The Brook Hill Guard opened the season with a big victory over a team from Canada last Saturday, but Coach Scott Ryle wasn't entirely pleased with the play of his squad. Ryle and Mount Vernon Tigers' Josh Finney exchanged donations beforehand that they'll send down south for Harvey victims. The Guard had a hard time putting a drive together and the Tigers won 21 to 6.

A few more scores to take a look at: the Grace Cougars fell to Canton Friday night 31 to 42. East Texas Christian Academy Panthers, a new team, lost to Longview Trinity School of Texas 62 to 6.
