Central Heights shuts out Whitesboro, plays for State title Thursday

The Nacogdoches Central Heights Blue Devils are one win away from their first state championship since 2004.  Central Heights shut out Whitesboro Wednesday 7-0 behind a dominating pitching performance from Texas A&M commit Grayson Rodriguez in the Class 3A State semifinals at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.  The Blue Devil junior ace struck out 14, while only giving up two hits and one walk.

Top-ranked Central Heights (36-2-1) will face Wall (31-3-1) in the 3A State final at noon Thursday back at Dell Diamond.
