For the second straight day, the Nacogdoches Central Heights Blue Devils pitched a shutout at the UIL State high school baseball tournament. The latter, a 10-0 run rule of Wall Thursday in the 3A final gave Central Heights its second state title in school history, and its first since 2004.

Central Heights looked as dominant as its number-one ranking they held through most of the season. Leading 3-0 after two innings, the Blue Devils scored seven runs in the third inning to blow the game open.
