Police investigating gas station robbery in Tyler

 Police in Tyler are searching for two people they believe held up a gas station late Saturday night.

The aggravated robbery happened just after 11:00 p.m. at the Valero Gas Station in the 2200 block of Loop 323 in Tyler.

Police say the store clerk reported a white or hispanic female and a black male entered the store and confronted the cashier. As the female walked around the counter, the male pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at the clerk and ordered him to raise his hands. The female then reached into the cash register and placed an undisclosed amount of money in a plastic bag.

The two then ran from the scene.

The female was described as being approximately 5'04", and 150lbs. She was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, and a black bandana covering her face. The man was approximately 5'7", and 140lbs. He was also wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants, and a white bandana that covered his face.

The clerk was not injured during the robbery.
