RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KETK) - One person was killed Monday morning in a multi-vehicle accident in Rusk County.
According to a preliminary Department of Public Safety crash investigation, troopers were dispatched to the scene at Highway 64 and CR 4108 at around 9:15 a.m.
DPS stated an SUV was heading west on Highway 64 when it hit the back of car stopped with other vehicles for a flagman on the side of the road. The initial accident pushed into two other vehicles ahead of the car. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has not yet been identified, pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the SUV and a passenger in another vehicle were taken to a Henderson hospital.
DPS continues to investigate the accident.
