Woman arrested for drugs after leaving East Texas game room

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) - An early morning traffic stop at an East Texas game room ended with a wanted woman behind bars for possession of methamphetamine and a glass pipe.

According to Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse, Tanya Lee Akers, 33, of Kemp, was arrested by officials around 1:30 a.m., Wednesday, after she left a game room on West Cedar Creek Parkway in Seven Points.

She was charged with possession of the contraband, and also had a glass pipe commonly used to smoke the drug.

In addition to the possession of a controlled substance charge, Akers also had an outstanding warrant with the Seven Points City Police Department for possession of drug paraphernalia.
