Lufkin, Texas (KETK) - The 33rd Annual Texas State Forest Festival is right around the corner, and they are proud to announce their concert headliner will be none other than Tracy Byrd.
Tracy Byrd who calls the Golden Triangle region home, is known for hits such as: Keeper of the Stars, Watermelon Crawl, Don't Take Her She's All I've Got and many more.
The festival will be held from September 20th until the 24th and he will be performing on Friday the 22nd.
"We are really lucky to have a lot of really great partners to make this festival a success," said Tori Charanza, Marketing Director for the Lufkin Chamber of Commerce. "The chamber of commerce staff is very small so we have a great group of volunteers who get together to pull this five day festival together."
The festival is a five day event held a the George H. Henderson Expo Center in Lufkin.
Each year they try to bring something new but there are always rides, vendors and plenty of great food.
"We have everything from entertainment, we will be having a dog disk show where they will be doing stunts, then we have a magic show for the little kids and we also will be having the lumberjacks which are a forest festival classic," said Charanza. "So it's definitely going to be a good time, we have entertainment for all ages."
To buy tickets for the Tracy Byrd show you can buy them online for $12 or at the gate on September 22 for $16.
All money made at the festival goes right back into the community.
