Smith County Sheriff's Office looking for robbery suspect

SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KETK) - On Friday December 1st, 2017 around 11:22 p.m., a white man entered the “AZ Food Mart” in the 11300 block of State Highway 69 N. and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. He was wearing a black-colored pullover sweat shirt “hoodie” with “Gold’s Gym” printed on the front. The suspect had a dark-colored bandana over his face and was wearing light-colored blue jeans with square-toed cowboy boots.

On Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 around 6:16 p.m., the same suspect robbed the “AB Country Store” in the 18500 block of FM 14 in the “Red Springs” area.

In both robberies, the suspect displayed a semi-automatic handgun (black in color.)

The suspect is approximately 6’00” to 6’01” in height with a slender-to-medium build. Witnesses described the suspect as possibly being in his late 20s to early 30s.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a late 90’s model Toyota Tacoma 4X4 pickup, single cab, and silver in color. It is equipped with running boards, mud flaps, and a diamond pattern toolbox. (A large white box was seen in the back of the pickup in the store video.)
