SFA grad students en route to Guatemala

Nacogdoches, Texas (KETK) - Some graduate students at SFA will have the opportunity to study abroad in Guatemala.

While there, they will serve with Refuge International---based out of Longview.

Students enrolled in the internship program are eligible for the trip.

This will be SFA's first opportunity to do this.

Grad students will be giving nutritional care to people living there and say this will be a great learning opportunity.

"Well, I think they will be able to experience a whole other culture from what they're experiencing here," said Dr. Darla O'Dwyer. "They normally go to different hospitals and different clinics and they will experience a whole different culture in Guatemala."

Along with those students will be a medical team.
