Second person dies from Diana house fire

SHREVEPORT, La. (KETK) - University Health Shreveport hospital officials confirms an East Texas man has died nearly a week after his house burned down.

According to a hospital spokesman, James Hogue of Diana died early Wednesday morning. He had been hospitalized since October 5, the morning his home caught fire off highway 154 in Diana.

Hogue's wife, Sherri, was killed in the fire, along with three pets. Officials say the woman was bedridden and was unable to escape.

A grandson of the couple, who lived at the home, was able to get out unharmed. He has been identified by the Longview News-Journal as 18-year-old Brandon Hogue.
