POLICE: Missing East Texas woman may be danger to herself

TEXARKANA, Texas (KETK) - A local police department is seeking information after a woman went missing Wednesday evening.

According to the Texarkana Police Department, Rachel Baty, 49, left her Pine Street home around 8:00 a.m., on Wednesday, and has not been heard from since.

Shortly after leaving, she sent text messages to friends indicating she may have been planning to harm herself, police say.

Baty stands 5'10" and weighs 155 pounds. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing black yoga pants, a black sweater and a white undershirt.

She was driving a 2005 or 2006 beige Nissan Altima with dents in both the hood and back bumper on the driver’s side. The license plate number is unknown.

She reportedly left without any money or identification and has since turned off her cell phone.
