TYLER, Texas (KETK) - As much as we try to prevent it during cold weather, sometimes pipes still freeze.
Cliff McCoy, owner of McCoy's Plumbing, says they have received dozens of calls from residents dealing with frozen pipes due to the snow storm that hit East Texas.
At this point, with pipes still being frozen, McCoy says pipes need to naturally thaw out before repairs can be made.
McCoy also provided KETK with some tips on dealing with frozen pipes:
1) Open cabinets
2) Turn your heat up
3) Open faucets (while you're home)
4) Open the attic if your pipelines lead up into that space
McCoy hopes to be out by Thursday making repairs.
