Mt. Pleasant, Texas (KETK) - An East Texas high school football coach is stepping down from his position.
According to Mt. Pleasant Superintendent Judd Marshall, on Monday, he and Athletic Director/Head Football Coach Corey Homer mutually agreed to part ways as far as coaching and leading the school's athletic department.
Homer will stay in his current position until the AD/HC vacancy can be filled.
Marshall tells KETK Homer has been offered another administrative position within the school district.
The Tigers went 2-8 on the season with a 1-5 district record.
Their lone district win came against Greenville the last week of the season.
