Marshall man arrested, charged in Tuesday shooting

MARSHALL, Texas (KETK) - A Marshall man is in the Harrison County Jail on several charges for his alleged role in a Tuesday afternoon shooting.

Brian Davis, 27 of Marshall, is in the Harrison County Jail on two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and theft of a firearm

On Tuesday at about 1PM, officers with the Marshall Police Department responded to the 1600 block of E. Houston Street near Maulding Street on reports of a shooting.

Preliminary reports suggest that Davis fired several shots at a vehicle that was traveling on E. Houston Street.

Davis then fled the scene on foot.

No one inside the vehicle was injured.

Davis was apprehended a short time later on E. Bowie Street near Merzbacher Street.

The gun Davis used during the commission of the crime, which had been reported as stolen, was recovered by Marshall Police’s K9 Unit.

The shooting remains under investigation.
