Family confirms death of East Texas woman involved in crash with semi

TYLER, Texas (KETK) - Family of a woman who was seriously injured in a wreck on Monday have confirmed her death.

Relatives say Kristan "Krissy" Cordray, 34, of Gladewater, died on Monday after she was flown from the scene of an accident involving an 18-wheeler on Highway 271 near the Brookshire's Distribution Center. Cordray sustained life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, who was hauling a load of sugar from Houston, previously told KETK he was turning right into the center's parking lot when he was hit from behind by Cordray's vehicle.

Visitation for Cordray will be held Thursday at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater from 6 p.m to 8 p.m.

Funeral services are set for Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Gladewater at 4 p.m.

Cordray is survived by her husband and two children.
