DPS identifies woman, child killed in East Texas wreck

HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) - The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the victims in a Henderson county crash.

On Sunday, troopers responded to a three-vehicle wreck on US-175 in Henderson County, just five miles southeast of Athens.  

The preliminary crash report revealed the driver of a car, identified as Ingrid Munoz Perdomo, 24, of Jacksonville, was traveling northwest on US-175 when she lost control of her vehicle, due to icy road conditions, crossed the center stripe and into the path of an semi-truck, driven by David Roberts, 62, of Larue. 

The collision caused the car to travel back into the westbound lane where it collided with an SUV, driven by Lynn Lou Ann Shepherd, 43, of Sanger. 

Perdomo was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Randy Daniels, her body was taken to Caroll and Lehr Funeral Home in Athens. 

A passenger, identified as Brandon Munoz, 3, of Jacksonville was taken to an Athens hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

His body was also taken to Caroll and Lehr Funeral Home in Athens. 

Another passenger, a 2 year-old female, was also taken to an area medical center and is stable.

Roberts was not injured in the crash.

Shepherd, a 9-year-old female passenger and an 11-year-old female passenger were taken to a local hospital where they were treated and released.
