Description released of Gregg Co. bank robber

LIBERTY CITY, Texas (KETK) - The Gregg County Sheriff's Office confirms their deputies are responding to a bank robbery in Liberty City.

Sabine ISD schools were temporarily placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure, according to superintendent Stacey Bryce. 

The superintendent says the First National Bank of Hughes Springs in Liberty City was robbed. The Sheriff's Office stated they received the call shortly after 12:30 p.m.

According to the Gregg County Sheriff's Office, the bank robber is described a white or Hispanic male wearing faded jeans and a light-colored shirt. He is believed to be traveling in a white Chevrolet Avalanche with a black bumper guard.
