Caroline Hicks

Reporter, 5pm & 6pm

August 2015 - Caroline Hicks joined the KETK team as a reporter in August 2015.  Born in Chicago, she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, when she was 13.  She considers herself a half-midwesterner, half-southerner.

Caroline made her way to Texas for school, graduating from Southern Methodist University with degrees in convergent journalism, Spanish and fashion media. Pony Up!  During her time in college, she was also involved in the student-run TV station, SMU-TV. She hosted the school's first-ever weekly talk show and interviewed student leaders, professors, and political analysts, covering a broad range of topics affecting both the campus and Dallas area.

Since moving to East Texas, she has discovered her passion for breaking news and local coverage.  She spent several days in Lindale during a tornado outbreak in 2015, bringing you updates from storm damage through the recovery process.  Her coverage of the murders of six people at a campsite in Anderson County and the death of Alto High School football player Cam'Ron Matthews garnered national attention with some of her work airing on the Today show.

When she's not reporting, Caroline enjoys playing tennis!

You can catch Caroline on KETK News at 5 and 6 p.m., Saturday-Wednesday.
